Terms & Conditions

1. General Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of music lesson services provided by Vera [Lastname] ("Vera," "we," or "us") via the website musikmitvera.de. By booking a lesson or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is München, Germany.

2. Booking & Appointments

• Bookings can be made via the website contact form, email, or WhatsApp.
• A booking is confirmed only after written confirmation from Vera.
• A free trial lesson of 30 minutes is offered to new students. No payment is required for the trial.
• Regular lessons are scheduled on a recurring weekly or bi-weekly basis by mutual agreement.
• Lesson schedules are subject to Vera's availability.

3. Fees & Payment

• Fees are payable by bank transfer (SEPA) or in cash before or immediately after the lesson.
• Monthly packages must be paid in advance at the beginning of the month.
• Prices are subject to change with 4 weeks' written notice.

4. Cancellation Policy

• By the student/parent: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
• Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
• In case of illness (of the child or Vera), cancellations will be accommodated with as much notice as possible. Make-up lessons will be offered where possible.
• By Vera: If Vera must cancel a lesson, a make-up session will be offered at no extra charge, or a refund will be issued.
• Public holidays: Lessons on German public holidays are cancelled by default and will not be charged.

5. Lesson Format & Location

• Lessons can be held at Vera's teaching studio or at the student's home (within München, subject to travel time).
• For home lessons, parents/guardians must be present in the home during the lesson at all times.
• The student/family is responsible for providing a suitable instrument in working condition for home lessons.
• Vera will bring all required teaching materials (sheet music, exercise books, etc.).

6. Safeguarding & Child Safety

The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority.

• All lessons involving minors require a parent or guardian to be reachable by phone or present on the premises.
• Vera is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and professional environment at all times.
• Any concerns regarding safeguarding should be reported immediately to Vera or to the relevant local authorities.

7. Photos & Media

• Vera may photograph or video lessons for educational or promotional use (e.g., website, social media) only with prior written consent from the parent/guardian.
• Parents/guardians may withdraw consent at any time in writing.
• Children will never be identified by full name in any public media without explicit consent.

8. Liability

• Vera is not liable for any damage to musical instruments during lessons unless caused by negligence.
• Vera is not responsible for any accidents or injuries occurring at the student's home during a home lesson.
• Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by German law.

9. Termination of Service

• Either party may terminate ongoing lessons with 4 weeks' written notice.
• Vera reserves the right to terminate lessons immediately in cases of repeated misconduct, non-payment, or breach of these Terms.
• Prepaid lesson packages will be refunded on a pro-rata basis in the event of termination by Vera.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
